INHERITED SINS, my new literary novel is out now and available for purchase either in your favorite book store or on Amazon. Like CRAZY QUILT, my previous literary novel, it is set in west Texas where I grew up.

However, unlike CRAZY QUILT, which has a contemporary setting, INHERITED SINS takes place during World War II. It's the story of a young widow who falls in love with a minister who is married.

It's too early to have received many reviews on INHERITED SINS, but the few I have received have been favorable.

CRAZY QUILT was an award winner for the WILLA Award presented by Women Writing the West. It is the story of Flora Adams, whose body, marriage and spirit have been ravaged by cancer treatment but who fights her way back in a most unconventional way. One third of my royalties on CRAZY QUILT goes to the University of New Mexico Cancer Center for cancer research. When you buy this book, you're helping a worthy cause.

THE KING'S NUN, a historical novel written under the pseudonymn Catherine Monroe, was my most recent novel before INHERITED SINS

It's the story of Charlemagne and Amelia of the Ardennes, a nun, with whom he fell in love.

BAREFOOT GIRL, another historical novel, also written under the name, Catherine Monroe,is the story of Margaret the Barefooted and is set in 14th century Italy.

At the moment I'm working on another historical novel at the request of an editor. This one will be under my own name, Paula Paul. Besides that, I also have started work on a mystery/​suspense novel that I had to put aside when the editor asked me to write the historical. I'm really eager to get back to it.

I'm too superstitious to mention the title or the plot for those two novels. I don't want to jinx them!
